Caramelized Onion and Maytag Blue Cheese Dip

Ingredients

Olive Oil

sweet Onion, halved and cut into thin slices

Cremini Mushrooms, chopped

Cream Cheese, softened

Maytag Blue Cheese, crumbled

Milk, whole

Thyme, fresh

Sea Salt

Fresh ground Black Pepper

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion. Cover ands cook in hot oil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Uncover and add mushrooms and cook uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and the onion is golden brown.

Add cream cheese, Maytag blue cheese, milk, thyme, salt and pepper to onion mixture. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture is melted.

Serve warm with pear slices, melba toast or whole grain crackers.
